The Naini Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee, established in 1960, is a prominent cultural organization in Naini, Prayagraj, dedicated to celebrating Durga Puja with grandeur. Over the years, the committee has become a hub of festive spirit, drawing large crowds for its elaborate rituals, artistic pandals, and vibrant cultural programs. Known for upholding Bengali traditions, it plays a vital role in fostering community unity and preserving cultural heritage, making it a significant part of Naini’s festive landscape.

As the celestial drums of festivity roll once again, we stand on the threshold of another joyous celebration, ready to welcome the benevolent presence of Ma Durga into our midst. The air hums with the vibrant energy of devotion, the streets glow with radiant lights, and the very essence of our souls is uplifted as we prepare to witness the divine spectacle of good conquering evil.
This season, the earth itself seems to sing with the rhythm of hope and happiness, for Durga Puja is not just a festival—it is the heartbeat of our culture, a time when devotion dances hand in hand with celebration, and when the Goddess graces us with her divine blessings. From the sound of the dhak to the scent of flowers and incense, every moment of this festival is a reminder of the triumph of light over darkness, of joy over sorrow, and of unity over division.
The grandeur of the pandals, the intricate artistry that adorns the idols, and the joyous gatherings of family and friends are all reflections of our collective spirit—one that seeks beauty, reverence, and celebration. Yet, in the midst of this splendor, let us not forget the deeper essence of Durga Puja: it is a time to honor the Goddess not just with rituals, but with our actions, our kindness, and our compassion toward one another.

Naini Sarbajanin Puja Committee
It has been 26 long years since I have been entrusted with the responsibility of Hony. General Secretary of the oldest Durga Puja at Naini Allahabad. The sheer price of Rs. 7-8 lakh per year Puja expenditure would have given sleepless nights but for the support from my patron members specially by Mr. Vinay Mishra, our President Mr. Gaurav Ghose, our think tank Mr. Gautam Chakraborty pillars of our committee Mr. Tapas Chakravarty, Mr. Shankar Ganguly, Mr. H.K. Maity, and our Kali Bari General Secretary Mr. Gautam Barua. Naini being an industrial town paucity of funds was never an issue for our Durga Puja in 80s and early 90s, but the high spirits of the people of Industrial Labour Colony in particular and Naini as a whole in general kept the ball rolling post the de-industrialization era. At the end I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to the brave efforts of Shri B.M. Mukherjee, Shri Ajay Pal, Shri Asit Das and Shri Sunil Adak, who make me believe age is just a number and team of my young Turks and members of our third generation for their whole hearted support to continue a legacy initiated by our parents in early 60s.
